My Way To Be Teen Video Challenge
Hey teens! This is the last month for the My Way To Be Teen Video Challenge!
Pull out your smartphone, record a short video, and you could win a MacBook Air! Just be sure to submit your video by December 18.
This month’s Video Challenge theme is Preventing Pregnancy. In your video, tell us why preventing unplanned pregnancy is your way to be teen.
- Videos must promote teen pregnancy prevention.
- Videos can be made on any camera, including smartphone cameras.
- Videos must be 20-45 seconds in length and no larger than 2GB.
- Videos must be submitted by someone aged 13-21.
- Video editing is permitted and encouraged.
- Individuals can submit multiple videos, as long as each is completely separate and different.
- Videos must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org with a Submission Form by December 18.

Vlog, that’s short for Video-blog, the no-nonsense, no frills approach. Just speak into the camera, sharing your thoughts and feelings with the world. In your video, tell us how you or your friends prevent pregnancy: Abstinence? Condoms? The pill? No names, please. Props and talking with your hands are encouraged! Example. Example.
Preform a Song
For the musically inclined. Or the not so musically inclined. Whatever. For this approach, videos can be original songs, original poems, original slam poetry, covers of popular songs with your own lyrics, music videos, or epic rap battles. Example. Example.
The Public Service Announcement Approach (a.k.a. Preform A Skit)
Can you sum up what teens need to know about pregnancy prevention in ten words or Pregnancy is like _________. Now film the blank out of that blank. Example. Example.
Do what you feel! This is your video, after all! Just be sure to mention pregnancy prevention.
The Monthly Winner
This month’s Monthly Winner will receive $50 Amazon.com gift card and will be eligible for the Grand Prize, a MacBook Air. September’s first runner up will receive a $25 Amazon.com gift card.
A Grand Prize Winner will be chosen from all Monthly Winners and will receive a MacBook Air after the last monthly contest wraps up in 2013.
