According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, suicide is the second-leading cause of death among college students and the third-leading cause of death among teenagers. In the United States, more than 72,000 teens are treated in hospitals yearly because of attempted suicide. Usually suicide occurs as a result of untreated depression. Girls attempt suicide more than guys, but guys are more likely to actually go through with it. If you are thinking about suicide – seek help immediately. Suicide is a “permanent solution to a temporary problem.”
